|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0001180: Username needs to be greater than 3 charaters, but if using LDAP authentication a username can be less than that|
|Description||I am using LDAP auth for my users and I have at least one that has a username that is three characters. When I try to update the user to what company they are in, it gives me an error message about his username being too short. Even though I cannot alter his username from that interface.|
|Tags||No tags attached.|
There is a config parameter called "username_min_len" that defines the length.
This defaults to 4 but can be set in System/System Configuration/Users/Minimum Username Length
Similarly you can set the password length as well.
Applies to V2.31, 2.4 and 3.0
